• Adventures In Missions
  Mission agency that conducts short-term missions trips for youth, college students, and adults to U.S. and International locations, placing emphasis on evangelistic outreach
• African Child Foundation
  ACF - is an independent, indigenous, non-political, non - governmental organization with a primary mission to provide education to poor disadvantaged and neglected orphans whose parents have died of HIV/AIDS and to help their families to overcome poverty and hopelessness in Uganda through helping them initiate sustainable income generating projects. The foundation provides holistic community intervention through a range of activities. These include: (i) the provision of home-based care for victims of HIV/AIDS, free blood testing for HIV/AIDS, (ii) an empowerment programme for widows who are victims of the disease to assist them to earn some income; (iii) an education and awareness scheme to increase knowledge about HIV/AIDS in educational institutions and in the wider community; and (iv) the caring and support of orphans using sponsorship schemes. These activities currently occur at the three centers of Bwebaja village in Wakiso district, Katebo in Mpigi district, and at Ndejje village in Luwero district. Those on short term or long term missions will be free to sample any of the following program activities depending on each volunteer’s skills and flexibility. • HIV/AIDS Prevention & Counseling Program • Primary Health Care Program • Computer Training School • Manual Construction work at Katebo Children’s Village • Restore a building(painting) • Build a house for orphaned Children • Build a footbridge • Build a children’s playground • Assist with holidays and camps for young people • Carry out renovation work at a school • Help educate people about farming • Work in a nature and wildlife reserve • Teach in a school • Organize arts activities for children • Work at a local hospital • Help at an orphanage caring for babies • Work in a remote village educating people about health i.e AIDS • Work with a project helping children from the streets • Work with a local Church • Work with a young offenders home • Work with a local women's development project For more details of our programs and projects, please visit our website at: http://www.acf.org.ug
